Maritime Laajasalo to grow and develop

Laajasalo will be developing in the coming years with the construction of new housing and transport connections in the area. Close proximity to the sea and nature are integral to the Laajasalo lifestyle in the future, as well: you can easily access beaches and green areas from anywhere in the area. Thanks to this growth, Laajasalo and Yliskylä will receive new services and current services will be further developed together with the residents.

Laajasalontie running through Laajasalo will become the first urban boulevard built in Helsinki. In the future, pedestrians, cyclists, buses and trams as well as cars will use the street. Once complete, the Crown Bridges Light Rail that will run along Laajasalontie will take passengers to Helsinki city centre.
