The renovation of the buildings from 1963 was completed in February 2024. The buildings reflect the distinctive architecture of the 1960s. The site has two four-storey buildings with a total of 38 apartments. The apartments have two or three bedrooms. The buildings were originally designed by architect Esko Toiviainen.

In the renovation, the apartments were refurbished: surfaces, doors, windows, kitchen fittings and storage furniture were all replaced.
The renovation included the restoration of the yard areas and widening of the driveways. The facades were renovated and the windows and doors were replaced. All building engineering solutions were upgraded and solar panels were installed on the roofs. Lifts were installed in the staircases. Common areas for the residents, such as saunas and laundry facilities, were refurbished. The old utility cellars in the basement were replaced by storage rooms for the residents.

The area has good transport connections. Ruskeasuo is part of Central Park, which has many leisure trails. You can also exercise in a variety of ways in Ruskeasuo, e.g. in the versatile sports park located at the heart of the outdoor recreation area. There are numerous daycare centres and schools in the area.
