This winter reminder gives you advice on how to keep the yard and other outdoor areas of your home functional and safe in winter, and how to regulate the temperature in your home. Heka's property maintenance operatives do the snow work in the yard and take care of gritting, but residents also have their own responsibilities.
The City of Helsinki is preparing for the possible transfer of standard tenant selection for the City’s rental apartments to Heka. No decision on the transfer has yet been made, and the matter will proceed to political decision-making in autumn 2026.
Heka and Posti are launching a partnership that will bring Posti parcel lockers to the outdoor areas of 11 Heka locations. The lockers will open in stages across Helsinki during August.

The Safety Investigation Authority has issued an accident threat notification on fibre cement boards that are used as fall protection on balcony railings. Heka is taking the matter seriously, and we are investigating whether these solutions have been used at Heka sites.

The operator of the electric vehicle charging service available at Heka locations will change in stages starting from March 2026.
